H2O House Washing
Concrete Cleaning Brisbane
Concrete handles more pressure than painted exterior surfaces, but it still benefits from a sensible process rather than a rushed blast.
Common concrete areas
I clean concrete driveways, pathways, steps, pool surrounds, hardstand areas, letterbox surrounds and other suitable exterior concrete.
The same surface-first judgement applies on every job: enough pressure to clean the surface properly, not more pressure than the concrete or nearby edges need.
How I clean mouldy concrete
When concrete is mouldy, I normally treat the area first and give the solution time to work before pressure cleaning. That makes the pressure cleaning more effective than simply blasting at the surface cold.
Green and black organic growth can make concrete slippery after rain, so the job is not only about appearance. It is also about making paths, steps and driveways easier to use.
What concrete cleaning can and cannot do
Cleaning can remove a lot of mould, algae, grime and surface build-up. It may not remove every deep stain, rust mark, oil mark or old surface defect.
If the concrete is damaged, painted, sealed, badly worn or already flaking, I will work with that condition rather than promising a brand-new finish.
Quoting concrete work
The quote depends on the size of the area, access, drainage, how much build-up is present and whether it is being done with a house wash, driveway clean or broader exterior tidy-up.
If you can send photos with your enquiry, I can usually tell you quickly whether the concrete looks suitable for pressure cleaning.
Questions I get asked
Can you clean concrete as part of a house wash?
Yes. I often quote concrete areas such as paths, steps and driveways alongside house washing so the exterior presents consistently.
Will concrete cleaning remove every stain?
Not always. Organic growth and surface grime usually clean up well, but rust, oil, paint marks and damaged concrete can leave permanent staining.
