What's Involved in a Professional House Wash – Step by Step

People ask me this a lot before they book: what actually happens when I turn up? Here's the honest rundown — the same process I've used for 25 years around Wynnum, Tingalpa and Carindale.

Step 1: Walk the property

Before anything gets wet, I walk the whole house — check the condition of the paint, look at access, work out what's a straightforward wall and what needs extra care. That decides the nozzle, the chemical mix and the pressure for each section.

Step 2: Apply the solution

This is where the actual cleaning happens — a biodegradable, chlorine-based mix goes on and gets time to work into the mould, mildew and grime. Soft washing lives or dies on this step: it's chemistry doing the job, not brute force.

Step 3: Rinse, section by section

Once the solution's done its job, I rinse from the top down with low pressure, working one section of the house at a time — windows, eaves, gutters, all the way through. Furniture, air-con units and garden beds get covered or worked around as I go, not as an afterthought.

Step 4: Final check

Before I leave, I walk it again and point out anything worth knowing — a spot that might need repainting soon, or an area to keep an eye on. You get honest advice, not just a wet house.

A proper soft wash should feel closer to a spa treatment for your house than a power-washing session. If your last clean didn't feel like that, it's worth reading up on common house washing mistakes before you book your next one.
